On June 6, 2022, at FHouse Warsaw, there was the premiere of a new photobook and exhibition by Michał Gromada “Recycling Dogs”. The project was carried out in cooperation with the Mikropsy Foundation. The photobook was published by Wydawnictwo Szelest.
Entire proceeds of the photobook Recycling Dogs is donated to care, rescue and treatment of dogs!
“Recycling Dogs” is a photobook by Michał Gromada, the entire proceeds of which are donated to dogs – the beneficiaries of the Mikropsy Foundation. The photos show famous artists and journalists together with their four-legged friends. Friends from a metaphorical second-hand… from ‘recycling’. “Recycling dogs” are dogs that were once abandoned and wronged, and then given a second, much more beautiful life.
This story began in December 2021, when the Mikropsy Foundation appealed for help. Photographer Michał Gromada decided to respond to this request by proposing to do a project that would support the activities of the foundation for dogs. A great team of make-up artists and upcycling fashion designers quickly joined the initiative. Initially, we thought that some famous people in Poland would appear in the photos as models. Finally we present you the photobook with photographs of almost 50 models, which makes this project one of the largest of its kind in the world.
The social campaign accompanying the project will start in September 2022.
